The Dancing with Celebrities: Marlborough Style event held on September 28th was a huge success! MJWC would like to thank all who participated and our sponsors without whom this event would not have happened. While all those who danced at this event are winners in our minds, the winners voted on by those in attendance are as follows:

MEN

1. First Place - Darren McLaughlin, Manager Wayside Racquet Club, active community volunteer and supporter of events

Dancing with Celebrities: Marlborough Style

This event was held on: September 28, 2007

Welcome to the site dedicated to the second annual (2007) Dancing with Celebrities: Marlborough Style competition hosted by the GFWC Marlborough Junior Woman's Club. This event will jumpstart the fall funding for the Marlborough Hospital's Healing Gardens project and our 2007 contributions to the community. Bring canned goods for the Food Pantry to be entered in a raffle for a fabulous prize!

Date: September 28, 2007

Time: Doors open at 7:30pm; Event begins at 8:00pm

Location: Best Western Marlborough (Map)

Tickets: $20 in advance; $25 at the door

Come watch our Marlborough "stars" perform in this fun dance competition. Like the television show, Dancing with the Stars, audience members will vote for their favorites. After our stars have performed, the dance floor will be open to all attendees to dance the night away.

GFWC Marlborough Junior Woman's Club

In addition to underwriting the cost of two annual scholarships and making a significant donation to the food pantry from last year's proceeds, the GFWC Marlborough Junior Woman's Club provides ongoing financial support and personal service hours to organizations, throughout the city, including the MESF, the Marlborough Senior Center, Marlborough Public Library, the Marlborough High School Art Department, the Marlborough Boys & Girls Club, The Evening of Giving and many more local and state organizations. All of the money MJWC raises goes directly to community service projects. In addition the MJWC as a member General Federation of Women's Clubs International, receives support and assists in national volunteerism as well.
